Harwell Campus Bicycle Users Group (HarBUG) are a group of cyclists campaigning to make it easier to cycle to the Harwell Campus and to improve facilities for cyclists and cycling on site. The campus is in the South Oxfordshire countryside close to the Berkshire downs and Ridgeway National Trail halfway between the towns of Didcot and Wantage on Sustrans Route 544.

Sustrans route 544 runs between Didcot & Wantage and passes along the top of the Harwell campus providing a virtually traffic free route to work from those towns. Other routes provide links to Abingdon and Oxford using Sustrans route 5.

We maintain regular contact with Campus management and the County Council so please let us know your views and we can pass them on.

HarBUG has also campaigns on cycle infrastructure and cycling issues in the Science Vale area in general.

If you cycle to work at the Harwell campus or are thinking about it then please join us and add weight to our campaign. Membership is free but you are invited to help our work by making a donation or contributing monthly.
