We\u00a0are\u00a0following two other funding options for this.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">\u00a0We have already listed the route 544 Hagbourne Hill section from the A34 bridge to the A4185. The Tarmaced section also needs attention due to the use by Thames Water contractors.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">\u00a0We\u00a0should include minor modifications to existing routes, although they may not be included it is useful to let the council know of any issues.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">\u00a0We can try and include road problems but not potholes, which are probably the biggest maintenance problem.\u00a0Potholes should be reported at <a title=\"Fix My Street\" href=\"http:\/\/fixmystreet.oxfordshire.gov.uk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">http:\/\/fixmystreet.oxfordshire.gov.uk<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: x-large;\"><strong>Update on Consultations &amp; Planning<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\"><strong>A34 Chilton Interchange<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">Further to the earlier post we\u00a0have now sent in our objection to the <a title=\"A34 Chilton Interchange\" href=\"https:\/\/myconsultations.oxfordshire.gov.uk\/consult.ti\/chiltoninterchange\/consultationHome\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">A34 Chilton Interchange <\/a>project which can be found here: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.harbug.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/chiltoninterchange50093.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">HarBUG Response to A34 Chilton Interchange Upgrade<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">To recap we are not against the project but object to the design of the roundabouts on the junction and the effect it will have on the Hagbourne Hill road traffic and in particular the Chilton Road into Upton which forms part of the Sustrans 544 route.<\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">\u00a0We have also asked for the A34 link\u00a0route south of the Campus\u00a0to be considered in these proposals.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\"><strong>Winnaway Upgrade<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">We will be meeting the County Council&#8217;s Engineer next week to go through the planned proposals for the <a title=\"The Winnaway Upgrade\" href=\"https:\/\/myconsultations.oxfordshire.gov.uk\/consult.ti\/winnaway\/consultationHome\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Winnaway<\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">We have questions on the design of the Harwell village end of the route and want to confirm surfacing and drainage specifications.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">If you have any questions please contact us <a title=\"HarBUG - Winnaway Consultation\" href=\"mailto:web@harbug.org.uk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">web@harbug.org.uk<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">We also met last week with the Campus management to go through both consultations.<\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\"><strong>RAL Space Building R100 <\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">A planning application has gone into Vale of White Horse Council (<a title=\"Building R100 Application\" href=\"http:\/\/www.whitehorsedc.gov.uk\/java\/support\/Main.jsp?MODULE=ApplicationDetails&amp;REF=P14\/V0236\/EZ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">P14\/V0236\/EZ<\/a>)for a new RAL space building on Fermi Avenue. HarBUG has decided to put in an objection on the following grounds:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">There are not enough cycle stands being provided.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">\u00a0The shower and changing provision are inadequate.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">\u00a0From the plans it looks like one of the paths used for cycling will be reduced in width for pedestrian use only.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">The transport assessment, submitted\u00a0as part of\u00a0the application, states that only cyclists who travel 5km or less need to be considered.
