The road (with cycle path) runs from Fermi Avenue, northwards, connecting\u00a0with Thomson Avenue, Rutherford Avenue and through to Currie Avenue, on the existing road.<\/p>\n<p>If you cycle in from Wantage\/Grove using route Sustrans route 544 this is good news if you need to get across the Campus. If you are cycling in from Didcot or\u00a0Abingdon it is a good alternative to cycling on the A4185. The cycle lane is on one side and is OK if you don&#8217;t mind getting off your cycle and crossing on foot at every junction. Unfortunately, there are\u00a0plenty of pointless &#8216;Cyclist Dismount&#8217; signs. The speed and quantity of traffic using the road means that it should be safe and easy for cyclists to stay on the main carriageway.<\/p>\n<p>If you do use the road, be careful if you are turning right at the Road 8 \/ Fermi Avenue roundabout (by Diamond and RAL space), make sure you are seen by traffic coming down Fermi Avenue.<\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t forget the AGM this Wednesday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The new link\u00a0on Campus Road 8 is now open.
