{"id":3014,"date":"2016-05-02T18:53:09","date_gmt":"2016-05-02T18:53:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.harbug.org.uk\/?p=3014"},"modified":"2020-04-02T18:49:42","modified_gmt":"2020-04-02T18:49:42","slug":"campus-cycle-training","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.harbug.org.uk\/?p=3014","title":{"rendered":"Campus Cycle Training"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>HarBUG has organised some on-campus\u00a0cycle training in May, sponsored by STFC.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The first event is a talk about cycling safely and confidently. This is a free event open to everybody and will take place on Thursday 12th May at 12:15 to 13:15 in room G59 of Diamond House on the RAL site. If you have any Harwell Campus site pass you should be able get into the RAL site. If you need to be signed into the site please let us know and we will arrange a visitors pass.<\/p>\n<p>We also have some free cycle training on the Campus roads. This will take place on the 19th and 26th May\u00a0from 12:30 to 13:30. Each session will be the same and take 4 people each week. The sessions are designed to help give confidence to cyclists who are\u00a0apprehensive about cycling on roads.<\/p>\n<p>If you are interested in taking part in one of the sessions or know of one of your colleagues who would be interested please contacting us at <a href=\"mailto:chair@harbug.org.uk\">chair@harbug.org.uk<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If you are already cycling to work you are unlikely to gain any benefit from the training, so please only apply if the thought of cycling on roads is putting you off.
