HarBUG is running two events on Wednesday 15th June; Cycle to Work Day &amp; The Bicycle Repair Man.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We need ride leaders for the escorted rides on the Cycle to Work Day, so if you can help out it would be much appreciated. Please contact me at <a href=\"mailto:chair@harbug.org.uk\">chair@harbug.org.uk<\/a>.<br \/>\nWe have posters for each event, so please can you print them out and post them on your organisations notice board:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.harbug.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Cycle-to-Work-Day-Poster-June-16.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cycle to Work Day Poster<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.harbug.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Bike-Repair-Poster-June-16.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Bicycle Repair Man Poster<\/a><br \/>\nWe had a record turnout in April so lets hope we can break that record this time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Campus Cycle to work Day<\/strong><br \/>\nCome along to our Campus Cycle to Work Day and get a free breakfast for your efforts. Everybody welcome.<br \/>\nFree breakfasts are served at the Harwell Pavilion, Thomson Avenue Entrance, from 07:30 to 09:00. Sponsored by Harwell Campus.<br \/>\nWe are running easy paced group rides, suitable for beginners, from local towns. Just turn up:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Abingdon, depart at 07:40 from Old County Hall.<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Didcot, depart at 07:50* from Didcot Parkway (meet at Brompton Cycle Hire Lockers).<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Grove, depart at 07:30 from Millbrook Square.<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Wantage, depart at 07:45 from the Nelson pub.<\/p>\n<p>* 07:50 ride from Didcot Parkway connects with local train from Oxford (07:21). Check with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gwr.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Great Western Trains<\/a> for details.<br \/>\nPlease support the group rides it is a good time to meet cyclists from the same town and swap tips, route information etc.<br \/>\nIf you are planning to cycle in but not with one of the group rides, please call in at the Harwell Pavilion and say hello and get a breakfast.<\/p>\n<p>Please note we are only running one ride in from Didcot this time.<br \/>\nDue to changes in the train timetables we cannot offer to connect with a Reading train.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Bicycle Repair Man<\/strong><br \/>\nLeave your bike in the morning for a free check, adjusting and tuning, pick it up after work.<br \/>\nFrom 08:30 to 17:00 outside the Satellite Applications Catapult building. Sponsored by STFC.<\/p>\n<p>Please note the following conditions for The Bicycle Repair Man event:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work will be carried out free of charge for labour only, any parts used must be paid for.<\/li>\n<li>Jobs will be carried out on a first come first served basis.<\/li>\n<li>We cannot guarantee to carry out work on all cycles left on the day.<\/li>\n<li>Work is limited to roadworthy checks, adjustments and minor repairs.<\/li>\n<li>Work will be refused for cycles where it is deemed there is too much work needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bike Week runs from the 11th to the 19th June.
