Campus Road Closure

We have been informed by the Campus management that Frome Road will be closed to all traffic (including cycles and pedestrians) from around the 30th April until July 2015. The closure is to allow the road to be used as a site road for the construction of the European Space agency building on Fermi Avenue. HarBUG did ask whether the road could be kept open for cyclists or whether an entrance could be made via Severn Road onto the RAL southern approach road, these were not deemed to be viable.

      Frome Road will be closed to all traffic until July 2015.

      Just to let you know, HarBUG has received confirmation that the Frome Road has re-opened and will remain open throughout the ESA building works. It is still a one way road, except for cyclists.
      Passing the message on; Harwell Oxford recommend that cyclists and pedestrians still use Fermi Avenue as the safest route.
