Attention Wantage Cyclists!
Wantage Council is developing a Neighbourhood Plan for the town. This is intended to provide a framework for development in/around Wantage for the next 20 years or so.
The Council is asking HarBUG to provide input to this process on cycling issues. We need to respond by the end of next week, so not much time. However in the next few weeks, all households in Wantage will receive individual questionnaires about the Neighbourhood Plan. So there will be a further opportunity to comment – at least if you live in Wantage.
So, if you are a Wantage cyclist, please take these opportunities to comment on how you would like to see things developed and improved for cyclists in and around Wantage over the next several years.
If you’d like your comments included in the specific HarBUG response, please email secretary@harbug.org.uk by Wednesday 5th Nov at the latest. In particular, we’ve been asked:
- To highlight up to 5 specific problem areas for cyclists in existing transport infrastructure in/around Wantage.
- To suggest up to 5 specific improvements to transport infrastructure in/around Wantage which would most benefit cyclists.
It will help us collate our response if comments are as succinct as possible!
A draft of the whole Plan should be available for further comment later this year.
