Campus Cycle Training

HarBUG has organised some on-campus cycle training in May, sponsored by STFC.

The first event is a talk about cycling safely and confidently. This is a free event open to everybody and will take place on Thursday 12th May at 12:15 to 13:15 in room G59 of Diamond House on the RAL site. If you have any Harwell Campus site pass you should be able get into the RAL site. If you need to be signed into the site please let us know and we will arrange a visitors pass.

We also have some free cycle training on the Campus roads. This will take place on the 19th and 26th May from 12:30 to 13:30. Each session will be the same and take 4 people each week. The sessions are designed to help give confidence to cyclists who are apprehensive about cycling on roads.

If you are interested in taking part in one of the sessions or know of one of your colleagues who would be interested please contacting us at chair@harbug.org.uk.

If you are already cycling to work you are unlikely to gain any benefit from the training, so please only apply if the thought of cycling on roads is putting you off. Please also only apply if you can definitely attend the training.

Please print out the poster and display on your organisations notice board: Cycle Training Poster 2016

We still have some spaces available for free cycle training next Thursday 19th and on the 26th May. So if you or someone you know would like some training please contact HarBUG at chair@harbug.org.uk. Training takes place on the Campus roads between 12:30 and 13:30.

Also if you have started cycling because of HarBUG or the Cycle to Work days, Cycling UK would like to talk to you for a piece they are writing about HarBUG. If you can spare a few minutes to talk to them please contact HarBUG at chair@harbug.org.uk.
