HarBUG – September News

Hello, there are a few events over the next couple of weeks detailed below:

Cycle to Work Day – Thursday 12th September.

This is a national cycle to work day details can be found at Cycle to Work Day, where you can pledge to cycle commute on Thursday.

On a local level the Wantage and Grove Campaign group are organising a cycle along the A417 inbetween Rowstock Roundabout and Wantage from 16:30 and 18:00 on the same day. This is to highlight the problems now and in future with the A417. If you want to join in contact the Wantage and Grove Campaign group directly here.

Crab Hill Development, Wantage – Thursday 12th September.

A public exhibition of the Crab Hill development is being held at the Old Mill Hall in Grove from 5pm to 8pm. If you have any comments, about cycling, please let HarBUG know and we will put a group response in.

Oxfordshire Ride and Stride – Saturday 14th September.

If you want a nice cycle around the Oxfordshire countryside then Ride and Stride is a day out cycling to and raising money for local churches. You can get sponsorship or donate via just giving or I guess there will be collection boxes in each church. For details of Oxfordshire churches that are open there is a local webpage here. Note, there are route sketches for Didcot and Abingdon a their surrounding villages.

Crab Hill Development, Wantage – Tuesday 17th September.

A public exhibition of the Crab Hill development is being held at the Wantage Civic Centre from 5pm to 8pm. If you have any comments, about cycling, please let HarBUG know and we will put a group response in.
