      Hello fellow cyclists

I am in need of your help, or more specifically, my nephew is.

My brother Gareth and I will be cycling offroad on the Ridgeway from West Kennet to Wendover (~80 miles) over the three days of the upcoming Bank Holiday to raise funds for his son Gethin’s specialist physiotherapy sessions.

Obviously we’re looking for sponsorship and donations, but this message is also an invitation to join us on all or part of the route, and hopefully raise even more.

So if you’d like to know more about the ride, Gethin’s story, want to donate something, or even want to come along, then please see the following links and/or get in touch:

      Gethin’s mum’s FaceBook Post

      Gareth’s JustGiving Donation Page

At the very least, we’d appreciate a bit of publicity, so if you’re on FaceBook, would you mind sharing the above post please? (not being a FaceBook expert, I think that’s possible). Also if anyone is a member of other cycling groups, could you extend this invitation to them please?

I must stress that this isn’t an “officially organised” ride (far from it in fact!) and the details haven’t been finalised quite yet. It’s just my brother and I trying to raise some much needed money to help a little boy get a bit more mobile. So if anyone does come along, then they do so entirely at their own risk. We may be able to help with transport to and from this area, but only for a couple of bikes and riders.

Thanks very much in advance for your support,

David (and Gareth, Gethin & family)

I wondered whether or not those links would work in an email! Please see the properly-formatted post on the HarBUG website’s forum page.

      Thanks

      David
