As a follow up to my dangerous driving post this morning, I find myself wondering whether or not to arm myself with cameras so that in the event of an accident I’ve got some evidence to corroborate any account of what happened.

I tried once using my GoPro but apart from the excess bulk and looking like a unicorn, I very subjectively got the impression it made people drive less considerately.

I’m considering getting a forward-facing Contour Roam 3 to be helmet mounted along with a Cycliq Fly6 rear facing light+camera.

Any thoughts? Is there much point? Is two cameras overkill?

      Hi,

A camera will definitely help if worst comes to worst and/or to share experiences. I doubt it will make any difference regarding how considerately a driver will behave. But it can put an end to disagreements regarding an incident before they heat up and lead to a calm resolution.

      Cheers,
