      Afternoon all,

Apologies if this has already been covered, but I was wondering if it was worth Harbug, the landowner and possibliy the local highway people getting together and approaching the contractors who are constructing the new Chilton A34 junction, and asking them if they could carry out some repairs to the Icknield way between the A4185 and the reservoir? I cycle on it when going home from site, and since the work on the new junction started I have noticed that there is increased traffic on the track as the contractors seem to be using it to gain access to the site. The surface, which is already in a bad state, is starting to look worse and will only deteriorate more as winter progresses. It would be nice if they did agree to do the repairs as an act of goodwill, espescially as this track is marked as a diversion for cyclists during the closure of the Hagbourne hill. They also (i’m assuming!) have access to the necessary plant and materials that they would need. Anyhow, this is just a thought.
