Spring into Cycling – Campus Cycle to Work Day

Thinking of Cycling to Work?

Looking to save some money, get fit and have a fun and reliable commute?

We are running a Campus Cycle to Work day on Wednesday 29th March to help anybody who wants to cycle to work but needs help or encouragement to take the first step. Join with one of our guided rides (suitable for all fitness levels) to the Campus. Rides run from Didcot or Wantage via traffic free routes* through the Oxfordshire countryside. At the end of the ride join us for a free cyclist’s breakfast at DiSH.

Already Discovered the Joy of Cycle Commuting.

If you already commute by cycle and have taken the winter off, this is a great opportunity to get back in the saddle. If you have been cycling all Winter, great effort. Either way join us on one of the guided rides or at DiSH for a free cyclists breakfast.

      Hello,

We are looking for ride leaders to help out with the guided rides into the Campus on the Cycle to Work day.
If you are cycling in from Didcot or Wantage can you help out new cyclists with the routes to work?
From Didcot the route will be Sustrans route 544 via the old Newbury railway, Upton and Hagbourne Hill.
From Wantage the route will be using the Icknield Greeenway via Ardington and Ginge Brook Bridge.

Please contact chair@harbug.org.uk if you would like to help out or would like more information about what a Ride Leader entails.
      Thanks.

      Regards

      Hi Kevin,

Unfortunately I will need to ride in earlier than 0750 as I have an all-day training course, hope you find someone.

Don’t forget the Cycle to Work Day on Wednesday.
If your cycling to work don’t forget to pop in at DiSH from 07:30 to 09:00 for a free cyclists breakfast.
It’s a good event to get back onto your bike or encourage a colleague to try cycling.
If you can join one of our escorted rides to support new cycle commuters.
I hope to see on Wednesday.

      Regards

      Kevin Wilkinson
